Managing Director – Adam Phillips
Mr Phillips holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia. He has worked in financial markets for over 14 years. The founder of Blue Fin Capital, he has successfully managed money for various institutions and also consulted to sophisticated investors on absolute return strategies. He has held a Registered Representative proper authority of the Sydney Futures Exchange (‘SFE’) and holds Australian Stock Exchange (‘ASX’) Derivatives Advisor accreditation.
Research and Operations – Matthew Griffiths
Mr Griffiths holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Newcastle. He has held a Registered Representative proper authority of the Sydney Futures Exchange (‘SFE’) and worked in Institutional Banking for a major Australian bank. Following this he worked as Trading Manager for Meridian Forex managing institutional monies with Mr Phillips then as a Portfolio Manager for an Australian based CTA before formally joining Blue Fin.
Database and IT Systems Developer - Andrew Ewing
Mr Ewing has fourteen years of development, programming and trading system experience. Prior to joining Blue Fin, Mr Ewing worked as a consultant to several Global Investment Banks and software houses developing low-latency trading systems and front to back office risk management systems.
Quantitative Analyst – Timur Yusupov
Mr Yusupov holds a PhD in Quantitative Economics/Finance from the University of Kiel in Germany, an MSc with 1st Class Honours in Information Technologies and Diploma in Engineering from Izhevsk State Technical University in Russia. He has worked for an Investment Bank in the UK prior to joining Blue Fin.
Portfolio Manager – Greg Mulcahy
Mr Mulcahy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Canterbury, N.Z. He has worked in financial markets for over 25 years. He managed money as a CTA registered with the NFA for the past ten years. Prior to this he was a Portfolio Manager at a boutique investment advisory firm in Tokyo. During the 1980’s he traded Bonds for several Investment Banks in New Zealand.
